![]() The Campaign begins with Jim Raynor on Mar Sara. The Xel'Naga, an ancient space-faring race credited with creating the Protoss and the Zerg, play a major role in the story. Players will revisit the original series' worlds, such as Char, Mar Sara, and Braxis as well as brand new worlds, like the jungle planet Bel'Shir, among others. ![]() The campaign storyline of StarCraft II:Wings of Liberty takes place four years after StarCraft: Brood War and features the return of several characters from the original series including Jim Raynor, Sarah Kerrigan, Zeratul, Artanis, and Arcturus Mengsk. The story of the Wings of Liberty chapter takes place roughly four years after the events of 1998's expansion pack, StarCraft: Brood War, and finds the Koprulu Sector, an area of the galaxy colonized by Terran and Protoss alike, conquered almost completely by the ravenous Zerg swarm. Wings of Liberty was released alongside 2.0, an updated version of Blizzard's online system. It was announced prior to release that instead, the singleplayer campaign would be extended through expansion packs which focus exclusively on the other two playable races in turn StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm, which focuses on the Zerg and was released in 2013, and StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void, which will focus on the Protoss and has not yet been released. All three races are available for multiplayer, however. Unlike the original StarCraft, StarCraft II only includes a singleplayer campaign for the Terran faction, consisting of roughly 30 missions. The games return to a galaxy in turmoil between three warring species the Terrans, the future form of the Human race, the Protoss, an ancient race possessing incredibly powerful psionic abilities, and the Zerg, an insect-like, bestial race consisting of billions of mindless 'soldiers' controlled by a single guiding intelligence. After you've completed the mission, Nova assassinates Tosh and vows to hunt down every rogue Spectre in the galaxy. She will not, however, join you on your quest. Even though Nova is working for Mengsk during SC2, she offers you schematics to train Ghosts should you decide to help her. She proposes that you instead follow her on a mission to shut down Tosh's Spectre facilities. Nova appears in StarCraft 2 during Tosh's final mission to warn you that the Spectres Tosh wants you to free are all psychopathic maniacs that should stay locked up. She was given the code X41822N, before even becoming a formal member. Malcolm Kelerchian recruited her, under orders from Ilsa Killiany. The destruction made her a quality candidate for the Ghost program. Nova came close to killing herself afterwards. The outburst led to a part of the Terra skyscraper being destroyed and the death of hundreds of people. McBain was ordered to shoot and kill Nova, but her powers caused her to unleash her immense psychic powers to devastating effect, without any control. She disembarked from the vessel and quickly found her parents and their employees, dying at the hands of Edward Peter, Gustavo Mcbain and a rebellion. Shortly after boarding, she felt that her parents were being murdered by anti- Confederate rebels. Reluctantly, three days later Nova boarded a vessel to a resort on Tyrador IX, where she would be safe. Nova's parents decided it was best to send her away. Nova learned about her psychic abilities on her fifteenth birthday, after reading the mind of Morgan Calabas. Constantino even tried to prevent Nova herself, from knowing about her powers. Her family opposed this by keeping her abilities well hidden. It is standard for psychic children to be sent into the Ghost Program. She lacked training and was limited to sensing emotions, at the age of seven. Unknown to her, part of her empathy stems from her powers of telepathy.Ĭonstantino, her father, knew of these abilities, but he was not aware of their limits. She holds strong to the code of fair play. Nova posseses a degree of empathy, not commonly seen in any of the Old Families. Her family lived in the Terra Skycraper in Tarsonis City, Tarsonis. Born into the Nova family, a rich and powerful family of the Terran Confederacy.
